4 Things I Loved About Orlando In October

This weekend I finally got to experience my favorite theme parks during the fall. Although I didn’t get to attend one of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties, there are tone of cool things I did get to do instead.

1. Halloween decorations in the Magic Kingdom. Pumpkins galore, fall colors, statues of characters in costume, and so much more. I wish I got to stay for a Halloween Party, but seeing the decorations was pretty cool anyway.

2. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. This was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever experienced. Between the haunted houses themed for The Walking Dead and Cabin in the Woods, and the zombies chasing us down the street, Horror Nights was incredible. If you get the opportunity to go in your lifetime, do it.

3. Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. The World Showcase is normally my favorite part about Epcot, so the addition of many extra countries made the park so much more fun. We got to try things from Hawaii, Germany, China, and more (and as a picky eater, that was pretty impressive for me).

4. Glow With The Show at Fantasmic. While Fantasmic is normally one of my favorite things to do at night in the Disney parks, the newest addition to the experience made it so much better. This weekend we got to use the new Glow With The Show Ears, which sync up with each other and the show. It was incredible to see all of the extra colors around the audience.

I’m so glad I finally got to visit Orlando in the fall. It’s the only time of year I hadn’t experienced yet, so now I can check it off my list. Every time I visit, I fall more in love with the parks. It was sad to say goodbye at the end of the weekend, but I am looking forward to returning for good after I graduate.
