The End of My First Internship

I definitely planned to blog more often throughout my Partyspace internship, but there just never seemed to be enough time in the day!

This has been one busy summer. I now have a very clear idea of what a 40 hour work week is like. I have spent three months developing my skills in social media marketing, blog writing, search engine optimization, website usability, gathering website metrics and more.

Since the day I began, our Twitter followers have increased by 600% and our website grade by 20%. Interning has given me a lot of confidence in my capabilities. I have gained invaluable experiences and some solid contacts. I am certain that I am headed on the right career path.

I am looking forward to the next chapter of my education. This fall I will be taking classes in communications writing, public relations and marketing, as well as interning for Penn State Career Services. I’m in for a busy semester!
